Munich Christmas Market
29 November – 24 December 2013
Munich (München) Christmas Market is a series of markets, and there is even one at the airport. The market dates back to the 14th century. The main market is held on the Marienplatz in the middle of the city. The market has always offered traditional Bavarian Christmas gifts, Oberammergau wood carvings, Bavarian Forest glassware and plenty of other traditional German gifts. Each day there is a concert from the town hall's balcony. There are Christmas workshops for kids in the Town Hall. The other large Christmas Market in Munich is the Kripperlmarkt. It specialises in Nativity sets and cribs. It is the market to get the manger you have been looking for. Munich has a Christmas Market to suit any taste, from Medieval to a Winterfestival.
