Japanese Christmas Cake

Ingredients


⅔ cup sugar
cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoons butter
3 eggs

Topping Ingredients
teaspoon salt
1 cups double cream
chopped fruits (like strawberries,raspberries, peaches, cherries, fruit of your choice)

Method

1. In a medium sized bowl whisk the eggs
2. Then place the bowl over a large bowl of warm water and whisk further, slowly added the sugar as you whisk
3. When the eggs lighten, sift in the flour into the eggs and mix lightly
4. In a saucepan melt the butter into the milk, then pour the milk into the flour and stir gently
5. Line the inside of a round 18cm cake tin with baking paper and pour in the mix
6, Place inside a preheated oven of 350F/180C and bake for 25 to 35 minutes
7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a rake
8. In a clean bowl mix the sugar and and cream. Remove half the cream and set to one side. Add to the bowl chopped fruit and mix well to the cream
9. Slice the cake in half and add the cream and fruit mix to one layer, then place the other layer on top finished with the rest of the cream mix
10. Decorate the top with fruit of your choice.

Ingredients


teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
12 chicken legs
vegetable oil for frying

Method

1. In a large bowl place the chicken legs and add the garlic powder and salt and mix well, then leave for 10 minutes
2. Add to the bowl the milk
3. Remove the chicken from the mixture and dip in the flour (ideal in a clean bowl of flour)
4. In a preheated deep fat fryer of 350F/180C or large saucepan of cooking fat, fry the chicken for 10 minutes.
